There Vanessa goes to work.

First time to drive her Nana's car to work by herself. Vanessa works at Plantation Salad bar and she just got her driver's license recently. Oh brother, I remember those days when our kids got their driver's license. It's happy and scared at the same time. Drive safe Vanessa...Wonder how many times she has heard that?  California girl.

Where Ione has and has not been

I have been in many places, but I've never been in Cahoots. Apparently, you can't go alone. You have to be in Cahoots with someone.

I've also never been in Cognito. I hear no one recognizes you there.

I have, however, been in Sane. They don't have an airport; you have to be driven there. I have made several trips there, thanks to my friends, family and work.

I would like to go to Conclusions, but you have to jump, and I'm not too much on physical activity anymore.

I have been in Doubt. But that is a sad place to go, and I try not to visit there.

I've been in Flexible, but only when it was very important to stand firm.

Sometimes I'm in Capable, and I go there more often as I'm getting older. Well, I'm not there yet!

One of my favorite places to be is in Suspense. It really gets the adrenalin flowing and pumps up my heart! At my age I need all the stimuli I can get!

And more and more I think of the Here After...several times a day, in fact, I enter a room and think, "What am I here after?" Sadly, I know the feeling.

Do you know? I was reading on the internet about the universe, etc. It is a very interesting subject. Do you know in our 24 hour day (23 hours and 56 minutes) the earth is spinning on it's axis at more than 1,000 miles an hour? And that traveling in it's orbit around the sun ( 1 year ) it is traveling at 66,000 miles an hour? It gets faster than that when you get into our solar system traveling around in the Milky Way. It travels about 600,000 mph and takes about 200 million years to make one pass. And how fast is the Milky Way traveling through space? Astronomers calculate that the Milky Way travels 1.3 million mph through space. This calculates that a jet traveing from Los Angeles to New York would be made in just under 7 seconds.

Grocery shopping during holidays

The other day we were in the Dr. office and the nurse told us she was going to buy groceries the Friday before Thanksgiving. She explained that last year she waited in line to pay for groceries for FOUR HOURS before she got checked out. I told her "yeah, but maybe all those people you stood in line with last year is going to go early this year and you will see them in line again."

Reminds me of last year during the holiday buying. I was very sick and unable to go to the grocery store. Wayne was very good about doing anything that I needed and would go get anything I needed anywhere he needed to go. After one trip to the grocery just before either Thanksgiving or Christmas he came home and told me, "Everybody in San Antonio was at HEB except you." That made me laugh a little.
